I am always leaving it too long between haircuts and end up snipping bits off til i can get an appointment. The way to cut your fringe with the least terrible result is to comb it, hold it straight up and cut. It looks a bit choppy when it falls back onto head and that disguises the fact that it might not be the straightest. Good Luck

My mum used to put a strip of sticky tape/scotch tape/cellotape across my fringe and then cut to that line.... it worked then :)

There is no best way - please don't try! At least get a friend to do it. If you try, you will get it wonky, and have to cut more off to straighten it, then more - it'll all end in tears, I'm sure!

Put a bowl on your head, and follow the rim line of the bowl.
