Here is a tip.
Open the pdf file and ms word (or any text editor) simultaneously. Click on the pdf file. Select the text select tool. Then "select all" from edit menu, then "copy"
Now go to the open text editor, click on it. Then Edit > paste. You will get all the text and images in your document. Save it.

If you had converted a .pdf to .doc, then bring up your microsoft word applicatin and open the new document. You can also try using wordpad. It might also bring up the converted document.

If the text is garbled then it was not converted properly or successfully. Can it be opened with word?
