a 3 quarter carat can appear just as large as a full carat if it is cut and shaped in a certain way. It is about the size of a small green pea.

i agree with yen. might be worth to get one carat instead.
it is not just about the size. as someone once expressed it very well, it is about the size of the heart of the person who gives the ring.
