Christians that say that the Bible is not God's inspired Word are Christian in name only.

True, born-again, spirit-filled Christians know that God's Bible is inspired by God Himself, through the Holy Spirit.

The best way to find out is to study it yourself; attend a good Bible teaching Church; go to a Christians bookstore and find books on the origins of the scriptures.

If you only believe some of the Bible is inspired by God, then you have made scriptures into a menu of beliefs from which to pick and choose.
Draw close to God, and He will draw close to you.

The Bible will tell you (and you will learn) as you read it everyone will get a different meaning or interpretation. God can and does speak to you thru His word. You will never really understand it all unless you have Divine intervention but to read His word is to thirst for knowledge of what is right and good. He does mention the devil often in the Bible because to believe in one is to believe in the other. As when the devil tempted Jesus on the mountain. The thing is that we all must live with ourselves everyday and we must learn right from wrong. To read the word of God is to read the most wonderful book of all time. Even if you don't believe it is historical, full of romance, packed with action and can offer you anything that any movie maker can ever come up with. In my heart I know that it had to be inspired. If you read the entire book from beginning to end you will see that in no way thru those many years could so many writers offer up the same story. From the prophets of old telling of the coming of the Messiah to the actual conception to Christ ministry. It all fits together like a great puzzle. My suggestion is read it for yourself and ask Him to guide you thru. I'm sure you will find answers to questions you never even thought of asking. God Bless!

There are some ppl who like to pick and choose the passages they like out of the Bible.......they pick and choose the passages that justifies the life they live. It is ALL the inspired word of God weither ppl like it or not. Read the last chapter of Revelations to see what will happen to those who add/take away from the Bible. Moreso the last 4 verses of Revelations.

I believe the words of love are straight from God. Like, love thy neighbor as thyself, now think to yourself if the whole world could just do that , how much would this world RULE? The love is clear, and altho I do think there may be some contradictions in the bible, I believe those were added by men. I mean "cut off thy wife's hand if her husband's brothers don't want her." And only men could get divorces. And do you really think God wanted us to stone each other? I sincerely doubt that, as soon as Jesus came in, He said no more of that. "He who is w/o sin may cast the first stone." One of the greatest stories, as we are all sinful.
Inspired is divine. Inspired feels good to your soul. Christians can pick and choose whatever they want, but we are judged by our deeds and words. And all He asked us to do is love...:o]

I don't know about that because I believe every word in it. I know that probably some things have changed but in saying that God is still in control of all things. He controls the minds and the hearts of people. So I believe that's whats in the Bible today is suppose to be in the bible. The Bible also say that we are not to take anything away from the word and we are not to add anything. So every word for Genesis to revelations i believe and I live by it daily.

Those who say the Bible is not the Word of God, are not Christians.

No parts of the Bible--Holy Scriptures are parts from the devil or been changed by early Christians. The Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. have "changed" it into their "OWN VERSIONS", but those are not God's holy scriptures.

It usually means that there are certain part in the bible that people don't agree with/conflicts with their way of life and they then say it is wrong.

The bible is inspired of god, passed through humans to write it all out and pass it on to future generations. Many people will pick out the bits they like and then discard the bits that make them out to be liars and not true Christians.

The question is often asked and, true to form, no one ever mentions or proves what they claim to be "changes" in the Bible.

All the ancient writings (Bible books) that there are, are in agreement with each other. There are no major differences that change either the theme or the meaning. Nada.

Next time someone asks this, please be intelligent and rational. Support the question with something to back it up.

It is all inspired by God.

Only Muslims claim it is corrupted, then they try to twist passages in it to justify Muhammad.

I don't know why they would want to use a book, they consider corrupted?

Peace!
