Just unbelievably untidy and not much room. But not insanitary.

Piles of washing up and clothes strewn everywhere. Unmade bed, and junk mail inside the door. Undecorated. Books and computers stacked on top of one another. Carpet worn. Nowhere to sit easily.

Still safe, the home made electrics are not dangerous.

Well it’s given men are messy, let her know it before. However some girls will offer to help you organize it’s this genetic trait we have when were in a messy room, even if were not organized ourselves. Women want to help men for the better and some things like cleaning is a main one next to clothing. So let her know and some-what clean a spot where your going to be talking to her, maybe the area where your sofa is and have the coffee table organized, clear the cans off I know you have them all over! Then stack any magazine, and hide the naughty-ones under the sofa she’ll never find them. 

It would be hard to think that he cleaned recently, because that would involve picking up clothes, washing sheets, etc.

It would take all I had not to just start cleaning. It's not that hard to keep your place neat. Just get some bookshelves, and hangers, closet organizers, etc. Invest in a trash can. Keep the couch clear. Not rocket science or brain surgery.

It basically says that "I don't care what you think of me." It also would make me wonder that if I were to marry this guy, would I be constantly picking up after him?

Nothing to me it's just a guy being a guy. On the other hand I'd think wow if he hasn't cleaned it could be he wasnt expecting me to come here and also that he might not have brought a girl home in a while. No big deal.

I would simply ask him if he wanted help picking up. I'm a neat person but I don't mind a mess every now and again. I get pretty d*mn messy too sometimes. I (weirdly enough) like cleaning so I would be more than happy to help clean up his place as well.

Are you talking about your own place?! Come on fess up. You just wanna see if it'll affect your after hours activities.
A filthy house in no way reflects a person. My sister's place is the same, but to see her and speak to her you can see she's the opposite of messy.

Sounds like he's been on his own for far to long, if you didn't like that much you would not have gone round, also he did not expect to be taking you back else he would have made an effort to tidy up a bit, if you get on well don't worry about his place it's him you want to see, .

I would think that he doesn't think much about me if he thinks I'm cool coming back to a pig sty. It may not be filthy or stinky, but it doesn't make a good impression at all. If you were a guy, would you be impressed with a woman's sloppy apartment?

Wait. Don't answer that...I know the answer. Never mind!

I'd think hooray......someone like me. My house is not unclean but extremely untidy. My friends all laugh at me but just accept the way I am. Lets face it....'A TIDY HOUSE IS THE SIGN OF A WASTED LIFE' or how about 'LIFE'S TOO SHORT TO PLUMP CUSHIONS' Good luck.

It would flit through my mind that it was messy and he could have made more of an effort to be tidy but I'd rather be getting down to business with this hunky guy I'd just pulled to be honest LOL

wouldnt really bother me unless there was a smell, or rodents running about the place. as long as it was clean, no mouldy dishes, or half eaten food etc lying about, then i wouldnt be too concerned! although if the bed sheets were all dirty and stained i might be a bit reluctant to stay around!!!
