That depends on a few things. Height and weight, metabolism, drug tolerance, medications, if any, that you are currently taking and whether or not you have food on your stomach.
Benadryl is an antihistamine and it's used for allergic reactions and itch. It is also used for sleep.
Odds are you will become very sleepy.

Try taking a half, which is 12.5mgs. That is the standard starting dose for allergies. If you find that doesn't bother you and you are still itching, then you can take the other half to make 25mgs. total. Also, get some lotion that has natural oatmeal in it. Suave makes one that is really good and is really inexpensive.

Probably depends on your size and weight. I get sleepy when I take two tablets, and I'm 5'11", 180 lbs. Take it before bed.
