I always feel sick to my stomach. I don't believe I do anything to make it worse, but I can't live like this anymore! I try to ignore it, but as soon as I get excited about something, the feeling always comes back!

I'm not on any medications. This has been going on for a few years now. I can't go to a doctor because I don't have health insurance. I never get sick...I'm only 20.

What do you think could be wrong with me? Do I have an ulcer or what?

An ulcer would cause severe pain as well as nausea.

It sounds like stress or anxiety. But the obvious question is what is your diet like...

If you were to take a sedative like valium (diazepam) and the symtoms went away - then you'd know for sure it's nausea caused by anxiety.

Alcohol can irritate the stomach, also a problem with the inner ear would cause a feeling like motion sickness. A test for this would be to take a travel sickness tablet. Do you wear glasses/contacts if so does it happen more when you are/are not wearing them.

Alcohol irritates the stomach, as does crappy food.

Personally to cover all bases (in the absence of medical advice) I'd eat food high in fibre (oatmeal), fruit, vegetables, grilled meat and fish, avoid fatty food, have a yakult type yoghurt each morning, 30 aerobic exercise 4 times a week, get out of the city/see some open space, try to relax/have fun/laugh.

I understand about not having insurance, but it sounds like you NEED to see a Dr. They can help you find out what's causing you to feel sick. Also stress can cause you to feel sick too. I know from personal expirience. If your stressing alot, you can make yourself sick.

Do you stress a lot? Maybe you have anxiety and you don't realize it. That can always put your stomach in knots.
