Because i need the cupcakes to be ready before the occasion. Should i not frost it first and keep the cupcakes in the container? Then when the time comes i heat it up and start frosting it? Thank you.

if you frost them then reheat, the frosting will melt. And you can't heat up the cupcakes and then frost them, same thing will happen. If you're only keeping them overnight, go ahead and frost them then store them in the container - they'll be fine.

I would bake the cupcakes the day before, and then ice them for the occasion right before, simply because the air will dry out the creamy consistency of the frosting. Good luck, you're making me hungry!

cupcakes need to be at room temperature before you frost them. The frosting will melt if they are hot or even warm. You can make them ahead of time, keep them in a container and then frost them when you need them.

I would not reheat the cupcakes. They may loose more moisture and become dried out.

I would just frost them when they cool, they are meant to be eaten cool, not hot. I hope that this helps!

Room Temp. is the best way to go for cup cakes and most things like them.
