don't brush your gums, brush your teeth. Don't press so hard on the toothbrush. use Sensodyne toothpaste for a while. Get a soft bristle brush. If it persists or gets worse-go to your dentist to check for gum disease.

It could be gingivitis. Gingivitis is a common disease caused by reddish gums that bleed easily during brushing, flossing, and sometimes eating. It is caused by plaque and tartar which produces chemicals that irritate your gums. When was the last time you went to the dentist? You should visit him/her once every 6 months for a cleaning. Schedule an appointment immediately if you haven't been there for a long time. Here's some tips: 1) Use a SOFT toothbrush. Medium or hard is not good. Brush 3x a day, gently each time, for 3-4 minutes. 2) Start flossing if you don't, once a day. What many people think is that when gums bleed they shouldn't brush or floss that area anymore, but that makes it worse. 3) And use Listerine or Crest Pro-Health Rinse mouthwash. Hope you get better :)

What kind of toothbrush are you using? Try brushing with a softer brush. Also, do you normally brush twice a day? If not, start. It is also important to floss your teeth. If you do these things, and your gums are still bleeding, then talk to a dentist.

You have ginivites. Its a gum diease. Always brush your teeth and your gums with a soft style toothbrush if that suits your mouth. I use a Medium so I know my teeth and gums are getting clean. Go to your dentist and tell him that your gums are bleeding he can give you something and sugguest a lighter toothpaste and listerine to help with that.

This is going to sound gross, but I actually knew someone who had oral sex with someone who had trichomoniasis, and never knew why his gums bled. Trich is THE most undiagnosed and unknown STD around. If you are sexually active with anyone who has ever been sexually active with anyone, you could have it. I am not presuming anything about your lifestyle, but not many people know about this. In men there are usually no symptoms. They just pass it along unknowingly. In women, there may or may not be symptoms, or they may not recognize the symptoms as being unusual. Antibiotics don't work. Only Metronidazole, as it is a protazoa; not a bacteria. If it isn't gingivitis, and your lifestyle fits the description, it is worth checking out. By the way, most doctors and dentists don't even consider this, so you have to approach them and be somewhat persistant.
Good luck to you.

You have gingivitis - gum disease. You need to see your dentist. You should also make sure that you are using a nice soft toothbrush and not brushing too hard as you can do damage to your gums otherwise.

It;s because the bacteria accumulated there and that's produced a swollen on your gums, washing teeth often will kill them
(also the gums), also is recomimended not to press hard your teeth when you wash, the disease is called Gengivitis, take a look in google

It could be beginning of gum disease----or you could just need a softer toothbrush. :) Try the softer t.brush first *or maybe just brush softer* if it is still happening, see a dentist to make sure it's nothing worse.

try just brushing your teeth and doing so gently. or you may want to go to the dentist because maybe you have a underlying problem that needs to be taken care of.
