For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 THESSALONIANS 4:16-17)

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." (REVELATION 4:1)

I apologize if I come off as being rude, I find alot of fault in catholicism bit I do recognize that there are good saved people who are catholics. I was raised catholic and left the church after actually reading the bible and seeing the inconsitencies. I think they instill a false hope in many people through these sacraments they use in place of salvation. We will just have to agree to disagree in the future.

Catholics do not believe in the idea of a rapture with people being left behind. This is a man made doctrine that was invented in 1830. Catholics believe that at the Second Coming of Christ, the dead will be resurrected and there will be a final judgment of the living and the dead.

It also seems a very poor reason to become a Christian to escape the Rapture. Is there really any love in your heart for anyone but yourself if you become a Christian just to escape torture? Where is the love of God and the love of neighbor in such an attitude.

If the reason a person becomes a Christian is to avoid torment and being left behind, that is a very selfish reason that is not Christian at all. The people who make videos like this are not teaching Christianity.

Robert, I never denied that Christ will not come again. I am just denying the idea that there will be a rapture of believers and unbelievers will be "left behind". This is a recent man made doctrine.

Robert,
Apology accepted and I extend my forgiveness.
The sacraments are not used in place of salvation or a substitute for faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior. The sacraments are visible signs of God's grace given to us. he sacraments are not the only means by which we receive God's grace either. Participation in the sacraments does not assure a person of salvation, but those who do not participate in the sacraments are missing out on God's overabundant graces.

Please realize that i am not saying that those non-Catholics who do not participate in the Catholic sacraments do not receive God's grace. God pours His grace on us in many ways. The sacraments are ways that we can see, feel, hear, smell, and taste.
