You will be given a pap smear (something you should do every year) and you will be given a pregnancy test. You won't receive the pap smear test results for at least 2 weeks, but the pregnancy test results will be immediate. They will also take your blood pressure. People with high blood pressure should not be on the pill. Other than that, you just have to fill out a questionnaire about your health history. You should be able to start the pill the first Sunday after your next period.

Oh yeah, they're also going to weigh you. Its really common for girls to gain a few pounds right after they start the pill. Your doctor will want to document your weight prior to the pill.

You have to have a preg test, it depends on the birth control you are looking for, if you are just after the pill then there is not really a procedure, they just ask questions so that they give you what you want.

The rod that they put in your arm, they make sure that you understand how it works and that it is different to the the pill, then you have a preg test and they insert in to your arm.

Do you mean all birth control or just the pill? For the pill, all they do is ask what medications you are already taking (for interactions) and see if you are healthy. The only test you need to take is a pregnancy test.

As far as the pill goes not too much. They will ask what your family medical history is as well as your medical history, they may check your blood pressure or order a pregnancy test or pap smear

When i went on BC my doc just asked me a few health related questions and then prescribed a method for me. He did have me call him within 2months to make sure everything was going fine for me.
I am not for sure if they do any test. But every doctor and Person is different.
