First thing I would do is to start a Yahoo Group, Find a name for your group, set up a description for it ,set up a front page photo. Make sure it's in the cycling listings and let Yahoo do the rest.

You may want to visit some other yahoo cycling groups too get some ideas, just do a search there are more than you can believe, like 1250 road groups. Try this link

http://sports.dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Recreation___Sports/Sports/Cycling you can find lots of ideas. Let me know the name and I'll be your first member.

Iggie, I just went and set up a yahoo group, it only took about 30 min. check it out at this link.

Well, for one, go to several bike shops and ask them if you could post some banners that anounce your intention. Try to start by finding some nice rides, and make an invitation to meet certain date & time, a desired level (intermediate, begginer, experts, crazzyyyy fast).

Start a Yahoo! group with the name of your group, so you can use that to put anouncements and let the newcommers to say hello and start posting there.

Try to find several cycling sites and anounce yourself. One of them is in forums.mtbr.com.
