the new job, perhaps? or maybe a mutual friend of ya'lls told her what a great guy you were & she'd be a dummy to pass you up?! (I like the second version better)
I would be honest with her when you are out on your date; Look her straight in the eye & ask her. "So, how come the couple of times I asked you out you weren't interested & now, all of a sudden, you want to see me?" Just like that - see what she has to say. Maybe she had something else going on in her life that kept her from going out with you before & now that obstacle is gone & she feels free to see you?! You won't know, unless you ask. Give it a try.
Good luck & congrats on the new job!!!

There could be many reasons but the #1 may be that you now have a new probably higher paying job. Nothing speaks better than a man that has the means to take you out. Most women don't enjoy being with someone who has no means. Not saying that you didn't before. Not saying this woman is a gold digger but here's your chance to find out her motive. Take her out and be blunt and ask her why now did she accept a date with you. Look for sincerity and honesty. Listen not with just your ears but with your eyes and see how she reacts to you. Look for signs of her really being into you or just the opposite.
Good luck.

You say you only met her 2 weeks ago.
Maybe she just wanted to have a few phone conversations to get to know you a little better before she would go out with you.
Perfectly logical to me...there are a lot of nuts out there and she was trying to play it safe.

Human nature. When you play hard to get it makes them more interested. They have these "rules" for dating, like you're not supposed to call too soon or you seem desperate & all that crap.
Personally I hate games like that though! I'm more interested when the guy calls & makes an effort. If he backs off, I write him off! But I'm the opposite of most women apparently.

Did you work where she worked before?? If yes than maybe she
doesn't date guys at work. Or maybe she was in another relationship , and it just ended. The only way to find out is to take
her out and ask lots of question. Why worry about it now, just have fun, and get to know her.

How much of a raise did you get with your new job??? How much more money are making here then you were at your last job??
Or perhaps, she was pursueing another and he wasn't into her, so now she is falling back on you, pretty sure of herself that you will still want to date her.
Go in this with caution. Blessed be...........

It's all about the game (hard to get). Plus maybe she thinks you're going to be rich someday b/c of the new job.

Ask her?????
She might have had unfinished business with someone else.....
She might like the fact that you have a job....and can reap the benefits of the money you earn....
There are alot of what-ifs.... don't waste brain power trying to guess, ask her......
