You are traveling through a remote part of new guinea and find that the natives are worshiping a discarded sony playstation. Do you try to convince them that the videogame is not divine?

Hey, I worship my Playstation too. Next time I'm in New Guinea maybe I should bring along some games, become their goddess and teach them about the joys of having a personal relationship with the FSM.

I have a question to ponder?
You are traveling through a remote part of new guinea and find the natives are worshipping a discardes cross with a man being crucified on it. Do you try to convince them that the cross is not divine?
Indigenous people are actually pretty intelligent. I mean I can't make a fire with out matches or a lighter. But they can. They can actually predict the weather by drawing in the sand on a beach and how they read it actually comes true. I mean the paganistic side is not an aspect I apreciate, but they actually know more than most give them credit for. Thier beliefs exist in every mans ancestrial backround regardless of what race or creed.
But back to my question, would you try and convince them that the cross is or is not divine? You try and argue that your idol god is better than thiers. You have a statue of a man, they too have statues of men. You did not create it, nor did they create them. You must prove that your god is greater than thier idol god.
But if I came accross them praising a playstaion, I would personally care less. Pass first judgement then care less afterwards unless it effects me. "To each his own".
EDIT: Sorry about that. I apologise sincerely! PEACE!

Yes, ignorance is bliss but knowledge is power. Leaving them to continue believing the sony playstation is god, leaves them stuck as a group. They will be unable to move forward in a positive progressive fashion. One question though. Where did they get the electricity to run the thing? ;)

everyone is entitled to worship what they want, but a sony playstation, i would definatly stop them and explain that it is just a materialistic item and that it truly is NOT divine . . as long as they listened to my side of the story it would be fine, wether they take my advice is up to them, but the chances of this occuring isnt very high

No I would just take pictures because nobody would ever believe me. I may even give them a game boy just for kicks.
