We had our civil wedding already and this december will be our church blessing. I wanted to wear a light shade of pink instead...but what color would the bridemaids wear?

White is no longer considered a sign of virginity, but, rather of joy so go ahead and wear white if you like. Light pink would be very nice since very few women look good in white. Pink is much warmer.
The church blessing of your marriage is typically treated as more of a vow renewal type ceremony and not a wedding. Usually there are no attendants.

you can wear any color you want. The bridesmaids would look good in a contrasting dark color like burgundy or plum or an espresso brown.

Just roll with it. I can see where this production will likely attract many folks who would otherwise never even consider seeing a Christmas cantata. The revenue from this will surely help the less fortunate. Think about that, my friend.

put the bridesmaids in a champagne colour, or perhaps a slightly darker shade of pink, one that tones in with your dress
