I am 16 years old and havent had a girlfriend my entire life. Sounds rather pathetic, right? I always figured that I would just get one, because I am not a bad guy. I am pretty good looking (nice face, decent body-not fat or anything), nice and respectful to others, and sometimes pretty funny. My downfall is that I am sometimes too quiet...which probably is interpreted as shyness. I am not really shy when I actually talk to people, but when it comes to asking a girl out, I am shy. I have wanted a girlfriend for a long time, but I am sick of hearing people say "just be pacient, the right girl will turn up." Well you know what? That isnt always true. What can I do to get a girlfriend?

Sadly, they're right. When the right girl shows up, you will have the confidence to go up to her and say "Hi, I'm (your name), I think you're interesting and would like to get to know you better."
Think about why you're afraid to ask a girl out...is it fear of rejection? It may happen. But know that each rejection you face helps you deal better with the next one that comes along. And it's not just guys--I didn't date anyone or have a boyfriend until I was in college.
P.S. How you look isn't all that girls are attracted to, they also are interested in your personality, where you come from, who you are, what you do, why you do what you do, etc. Just have a little confidence and put yourself out there. You'll never know unless you try.

hey, I think your shyness is going to keep you from getting a girlfriend. If you never ask a girl out, then naturally you'll never get one. Yeah I agree, that be patient line sucks. Especially if it's your heart's desire to have a girlfriend. You just need to get out there, start talking to girls, don't be self concious. It hurts for maybe a day at most if the girl says no, but just think, there are alot of girls out there going I wish I had a boyfriend. It sounds like you have a good self esteem, so let it shine. Your not going to get a girlfriend if you spend your time sitting at home playing playstation or surfing the net. You gotta go where everyone hangs for start. Start slow, and work your way from coffee, to a date, then after awhile girlfriend if things work out.

My ex was quite and thats why we broke up because he would call me and not say anything so you can be a quite person but if you are that quite you might get girlfriend but it last long just don't be so quite that you hardly ever talk to her because that won't make her like you anymore. . .You seem pretty cool but try to be a little more outgoing

are u gay? u need to suck it up and talk to a gurl. start off in one of ur classes then move on from there. do u work? if so talk to a few gurls there and see if u like any of them. go on friendly dates so u can build ur confidence.

Don't worry...I didnt have my first girlfriend unitil I was 17 years old. If a girl really wants to be with you...you'll know, so don't worry.
