Jossy,
Please remember, God did not have an emergency meeting in heaven to figure out what to do about this situation. He has it all in control. Sometimes He allows things to happen so that we know it was GOD bringing about the events. He also reminds us that nothing here is secure other then our relationship with HIM but HE has promised never to leave us or forsake us and He has promised to meet our needs.
Keep your eyes upon Jesus...He will answer in ways that will bless you greatly.
We are praying for you.

When one door closes, another opens. It sounds like God is doing some major moving around right now. Be still and know that He is God. However, when I suggest being still I don't mean to sit on the couch and do nothing.
Continue to prayerfully use the resources that God is laying before you and ask Him for wisdom in this time of seeming chaos.
I will remember you and your husband in prayer. He must really be struggling right now. What a difficult blow in so many ways.
Pray for your ability to encourage him and the strength to do all you are now having to do.
Don't worry so much about "the house" there might be a really good reason that God is trying to run interference with this home purchase. You never know what God knows. Maybe He is trying to keep you from having to live next to some really horrible neighbors or ........ Oh yeah! I remember my friend who was desperate for this really awesome, retro flat in Seattle, Washington. He was so disappointed that he didn't get it.
Three months later there was an electrical fire and the place burned down.
Just keep praying and trust in the Lord to guide you through all this.

Jossy, the immediacy of problems makes them seem disproprtionately huge. The home will come. The job will come. Everything will be fine. Keep moving forward and don't be deterred by obstacles. You'll be in my best wishes for you and your husband.
