Although, cake and pie are good to eat. The best in my opinion is pie. To begin you need to understand that I love pie. I love everything about this delicious dessert. How can you say no to the salty, flaky, and buttery crust. Any type of fruit or custards can be used to make the filling. The top can be more of the crust or some of that luscious crumbly topping on the fruit filled. The custard type of pie with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Then there is cheese on apple pie and ice cream for an a la mode piece of pie. I even had a pie graduation party, it was great everyone brought pie and we all had a good time. I really do like pie.

Cake or Pie? Why the comparison? On my Birthday I like having Cake and I would not dream of having Pie. On Thanksgiving or Christmas the last thing that I'm looking for is one of the assorted cakes we use to celebrate other special events. I'll have my cake and eat my pie too.

Cake is the King in this battle, hands down!

There are so many things you can do with it. So many flavors and textures and designs now. You can make a cake look like anything now-a-days. Cake can be light and airy like Angels Food but it can also be dense like Red Velvet Cake. Pie to me is one dimensional. IT always has the standard crusts. Either pastry and or graham cracker. And all you do is add things and mix it all together and put it in a crust and that's all. No pretty shapes and flowers etc. with icing. No special messages written out in candy and treats. Its boring!

I salute to Cake!

depends on the mood really: sometimes you want sweet n sugary, in which case you'd choose cake. sometimes you want more savoury, and so its pie. however: there's a little bit of crossover.. some pies are sweet.. so it becomes complicated.. The best way to resolve it is this: the superior one is whichever the individual prefers..

Pie is by far the superior. Meat ,sweet or savoury. Can't be beaten, whereas cakes always are.

Cake. It's a happy uplifting food. The thought of a steak and kidney pie does not have the same effect.

Cake. Pie's are too dry and tend to have too much pastry. Cakes are soooo much better, Especially vanilla cheese cake. Or dogunuts (do they count as a cake?).

If you make a jello no bake cheese cake in a pie dish, is it still a cheese cake or does it become cheese pie? Whichever that one is, that is what i like.

I'm gona say cake! Cakes can have tiers, cream, icing, jelly, mousse, and all things yummy. They be served hot or cold and usually represent an occassion! Pies are good too, but cakes are better! Much more versatile!
