if the airbag has been expelled do u have to replace just it , or do you have to change the whole steering wheel

Just the airbag
be warned these are not cheap! airbag theft and re-sale is big underground business these days! bigger than drugs! easy to steal from ford Focus aparently!
not that i deal in drugs or airbags! honest!

It should be possible to just replace the airbag.
I don't have any clear idea how much it costs. Even if you do manage to find one for sale, don't be tempted to try fitting it yourself - you should take the car to a proper dealer.
But if whatever happened to your car was bad enough to engage the airbag you should probably have it checked over anyway.

Just get a big bird with huge breasts to sit in front of you no need to worry about airbags but just hope your mates don't see you driving down the high street

Depends on the make of car, but as you are asking us rather than your main dealer we can safely assume its not a Bentley. In most cases it's just the bag, but you MUST have it done.

you can replace just the air bag but you also have to change all the air bag sensors to ensure it will work again

I think you have to get the manufacturer to do it as the electrics will need resetting aswell.
