The cookies wouldn't taste the same without chocolate chips. Try raisins instead might help but it still won't be the same.

it is so simple. You can get a chocolate chip cookie recipie and then make the cookies and just don't at the chocolate chips in the mixture of batter. That's all that you have to do. I think I have done this before and know that this method will work for you .

i would say that you could put everything in apart from chocolate chips so you couldput something else in instead it will still taste the same if you use the same ingredients

of course, they'll be fine, I've done it many times, though you should know that there are LOTS of different "chips" out there now. Like caramel, butterscotch, white chocolate, peanut butter....
