The numbers are being hidden, because he hasn't got a reason for going to war otherwise. All he has is saving the people from a cruel tyrant, and bringing the people democracy.
I don't know about how many people (insurgents) Saddam subdued, but I think that it was a lot less than 650,000. And as for democracy, people just vote based on there religion, I imagine it to be very much controlled as to who can stand.

He, and or his administration is'nt hiding anything. If this was so you wouldn't have the stats and or facts you are sighting. Give credit where it is due and blame as well to failed policy for the last twenty to thirty years of dealing with such tyrant regiems in the Med. Bush is standing up and actually doing something about it for once. It is a shame that war is destructive in many, many ways. These are the prices that need to be payed for peace in the future. If you dont agree with these policies then try voting it is your right. And if this doesn't contend well with you then look at other options. No one will blame you for going to the middle east to ease suffering of those directly affected. Just like no one will hold you back if you think the solution is to go over there and help the insurgencies doctrine. Just do what is right in your heart and mind and bare the consequences of your own actions.

Because, over time, people forget the bad stuff. As horrific as the Holocaust was, nearly everyone from that era is dead and the sting of it has ebbed.
Same goes here. The longer bad news is delayed, the better it is for one side or the other.
Take the pedophile stories in the news. (Ever notice how pedophiles tend to follow the Religious Conservatives and Republicans credo? Don't ask, Don't tell.)
The longer it takes for these stories hit the public media, the softer the blow and backlash. So, the priests kept moving the pedophiles around instead of protecting our children. So the Republicans who looked the other way for years are trumpeting horns to ferret out a scape goat. They know that the longer they hold back the knowledge, the softer the blow will be.
If George Bush, Jr. killed Hillary Clinton with an axe on the evening news, you know what would happen?
The Conservatives would say the 'filthy Liberal witch deserved it'.
The Republicans from Texas would say ' she needed killing'.
The Democratic Party would go to comittee and not come out until two weeks after the elections with their 'what we shoulda done' speeches.
The Religious groups would forgive him, because he's the chosen one to usher in the End of Days. And, he's still working on banning Gay Marriage & Abortions.
Bill Clinton would shout 'Yes!' and head to the nearest bar for a burger, beer and bimbo.
The American Public would have missed most of it because they simply fast forwarded their DVRs to American Idol.

These things aren't being hidden. I know my husband gets the Army Times and every single week they have updated reports on those wounded and killed. They even have pictures of some of the fallen. And as far as the 650,000 Iraqis it was also reported that the margin of error on that number could be between 400,000 and 800,000 so that number is probably WAY off. My saying this does not mean that I agree with everything that Bush does but you need to use real facts instead of just making up things to try and make your point.

Bush and those in his administration do not care. Whatever this war is about – it has never been about the safety and well-being of Americans. Bush’s attitude is that (enlisted) military service is for that segment of American society that is expendable – lower economic and minority.
James Baker’s commission has already hinted that there will be some kind of redeployment within the next 2 or 3 months. The administration will not do it sooner because of the political impact before next months elections, especially among those who have, all along, believed Bush’s ‘stay the course’ BS.
This is just one more callous example of leaving American soldiers in harm’s way to be injured or killed so Republicans can keep their power in Washington. Unfortunately, these won’t be the only wasted lives. All the lives lost as a result of Bush’s immoral and illegal invasion of Iraq are people who have died for no reason. Really, it’s just murder, terrorism, or whatever you want to call it.

I think there needs to be WW III before you can have a WWW IV - whatever that is - a REALLY bad world war I guess.
You really are not a very thoughtful person, are you?

Then why don't you? Oh, that's right, you can't. I love how you neocons never seem to have the time to deal with facts, even though you seem to have plenty of time for insults and name calling.

OkieBoy -
That explains why 'Okie' became a common American slang expression for an uneducated and backward person.

birdsnake...-
The ONLY Americans not educated with TAX money are those like Bush who are born into such wealth that they can go to expensive private schools. Are you one of those, or just another neocon who rants without thinking?

Wow, I am curious how you quote the experts but aren't informed. Departmen of Defense has a daily updated injured and KIA report. When you cannot see the picture on the global scale how can you be so quick to judge. I know that no matter what happens a President makes choices. I know that no matter what his choice is he faces severe criticism. If he hadn;t invade and Iran,Iraq, and Syria had started WWW IV then he would have faced more criticism... Clinton killed people too, he went to Somalia, but ignoerd Darfur.

Yep he hides everything. Please stop reading the papers that do not know the truth about anything. Every day the T.V. media and most major papers tell you how many died and it is up dated when a soldier or marine dies from the wounds that they recieved in combat.

Because if people see the dead and injured getting off the planes like they showed when they were coming home from Nam it will put some reality to the war. This way out of sight out of mind is thier motto. The question is do you think more people will care if they see that?
