Drink lots of water believe it or not but oily skin is a sign of dehydration, so try this for about a month.
and then see what happens before going and spending money on expensive products that might not work.
and if you do need to use some beauty prods. after this i would buy a relatively cheap cleanser, toner and moisturiser and make sure you follow a daily routine using them morning and night if possible and this should help you (along with lots of water)
in my eyes it doesnt matter what brand you buy they are all the same, and thats from personal experience i have tried everything out there!

Use a facial cleanser & toner made for oily skin. Then use an oil-free moisturizer. Johnson & Johnson Clean & Clear Oil Blotting Sheets work well in the middle of the day. And drink plenty of water!!!

TO ALL OF YOU BEING SHALLOW AND OFFENSIVE: stop being so shallow and nasty, i understand what it's like because i also have very oily skin!!

anyway, try using oil-free products, don't use moisturiser except for in winter when you need it the most, use oil minimising/absorbing toners too - they help alot, but unfortunately don't leave it completey oil free! its a pain, as for blackheads, use an exfoliator every two days, morning and night, the suggestion is generally two to three times a week, but one or two times more than this doesnt matter. Hope thats helps

I have oily skin too.

Get a face wash specifically for greasy skin and then use an oil-free moisturiser. I tend to avoid cream moisturisers and go for gels as they always seem less greasy.

That should help.

Lots of people reckon it's good to have oily skin because it means you're less likely to get wrinkles. One benefit I suppose!

I certainly have the comparable situation. i do no longer comprehend which you'll be thoroughly oil loose, yet i swear by potential of clean & clean Oil soaking up Sheets. they arrive in packs of fifty for approximately 4-5 money and you in easy terms use them for the duration of the day and you'd be shine loose. good success.

As suggested by our fellow Yahoo-ers....drink plenty of water.
Avoid 'stripping' your face of oils, this will cause the pores to over produce in an attempt to replace the oils you stripped off. The suggestion of a non-greasy moisturizer is excellent. Keep your hands off your face as this has a tendancy to help in the clogging of pores. The blackheads can be addressed with a product such as Biore strips, they will unblock those pores and rid them of the clog that is causing the 'head'.

You need to find a real good face wash. Evion is brilliant. It's really mild and gentle.
You can also try Normaderm moisturiser. It keeps the skin really well balanced. There is a night Normaderm to.
For blackheads you could try nasal blackhead strips which are reallt effective. Equally effective is Clearisil face wash

Mary Kay has products for oily skin you might want to try like:
3-1 cleanser for oily/combo skin
Age Fighting moisurizer for oily/combo skin
Microdermabrasion for those blackheads
Medium coverage foundation that will control shine

I have oily skin and these are all products I use.

Don't be too hasty regarding removing too much of the oil with lotions etc.
Some oil is beneficial in reducing wrinkles in later years, trust me!
