i took my friend to the airport this morning and i got a ticket for no child saftey seat why? the child does not belong to me and is going on an airplane how can i be expected to have a child seat available has this happened to anyone else?

The parent should have brought a child car seat to place in your car. As the driver, you are in charge of insisting that every passenger follow safety laws. The law is real strict about car seats, and it's a pain in my neck too. A month ago, my car broke down and AAA towed it just fine but I had to pay to take a cab home because the towtruck did not have enough room in the cab for the kids' car seats. It's a pain in the butt, but that's the law.

If the law requires a child safety seat and you ignore that then you deserve the ticket. Same thing if you passenger in the front seat does not have his seat belt fastened and you get a ticket for that.
People say I am dumb and stupid and even call me a moron but I do know a few things. I just might be a little slow at times.

The child may not be yours but its illegal to drive with children in the car that arent in their car seats. If you knew ahead of time you should have borrowed a seat from someone. In any case the nice thing would be for your friend to pay the ticket.

yes in any private personal vechile the law is specific that no child under a certain age and/or height or weight can be transported without a child safety seat.
Your friend should be ( if it is theier baby) to pay the fine for you, since they should have supplied the car seat, it is not a moving violation and no points should be applied.
