If so, does it indicate faster or slower? I am thinking of a couple of odd incidents. Daniel waited three weeks for an answer to his prayer, but the angel said he was dispatched on the first day, but only just arrived...a little spiritual turbulence. And then ther are those verses about a day like a 1000 years...and then I am thinking of the time the angel broke Peter out of prison. He seemed to be in a real big rush...not exactly the sit around and chit-chat over a harp kind of guy. Where did he have to go? What would he have been missing, if he had stuck around a minute to talk with one of the first apostles?

I guess what I am trying to say is that there seems to be something happening behind the scenes...that conflict and time aren't quite predictable. I got the feeling with the angel and Peter that the angel didn't really want to be there. It was like he was mad...as though he were losing something very precious by spending a few minutes (seconds) rescuing Peter. What if it were the other way around, and one day here was like a 1000 years in heaven? That would mean for every minute he was on earth, he could be losing almost a year in heaven. That's a long time to be away from your family, friends and workplace.

The Angel said there had been warfare- over the Middle East- as it is now.
One day is like a thousand years to God.
Not sure why the Angel told Peter to hurry- Maybe the Angel had somewhere else to go?

The bible says a day with Jehovah is as a thousand years here on earth. It talks of the earth being formed in 7 days which in actuality was formed in 6000 years and soon will be Jehovahs day of rest when his son jesus will rule for 1000 years....Jehovah told Adam and Eve ..In the day of your eating the forbidden fruit you will surely die. Adam lived almost 1000 years. .then he died before the day with God was up.

If we debated this question, we would be like those bishops at the Byzantium Council of 1166, who discussed the sex of angels for days on end. It's an exercise in futility.

On earth we have days that pass, day after day after day. In heaven, there will be no more tommorrows, but time goes on forever and ever. Praise the Lord!!

in heaven, there is no concept of time, because they don't have to rush to work every morning, avoiding ugly people along the way. they just lounge around on their puffy clouds, listening to heavenly music. how lovely it must be.

Time as we know it only exists on our world. Once we leave
this world, time changes.
In spirit, it is said one experiences a sense of timelessness.
