AutoCad from Autodesk is a Computer Aided Design & Drafting package. This is the most useful software for any Mechanical Engineer because you can draw most of the mechanical drawings using this package with proper dimensions and calculations of thickness etc etc. If you master AutoCad by the time you finish your mechanical engineering then you will get a highly paid job immediately and would settle in your life luxurisly.
