Taking photos is a great idea. Also, talking about special moments that were shared; if they were funny especially. You will be able to laugh together forever about them. When you talk about special memories, the children remember them as they grow up and will share them with one another forever. And don't forget to continue building fond memories - even after they have grown. Singing is a good way too; if you like to sing. They will remember songs and sing them to their children. Reading and stories are another favorite. Find what works for your family and do it. Have fun, enjoy, and bless you with many happy memories.

Do lots of fun things with them, then take photos and put them in a scrapebook. The outings they don't remember will be there to refresh their memory. I always had unusal birthday partys for them, each year was different from the last. Christmas I had traditions that they did every year. They remember these with fondness and even use some for their own familys now that they are grown.

Not sure if this is what your after but scrapbooking is good for that kind of thing. That way you can create pages representing different occasions and you are not restricted to photos, you can add all sorts of memorabilia to them.

Make things together, x-mas ornaments, scrapbooks, picture frames. Also go a lot of places with them, and take lots of pictures.

for creating actual memories for children keep them active; keep the tv off. i wasted all my child years infront of the tv cause that was how my mom 'watched' me ever since i was born. be active with them. mountain biking, hiking, quad/dirt bike riding, canoeing..etc.
