My parents 25th wedding anniversary is next year and Im throwing them a suprise party. However, Im having a hard time finding great silver decorations that are elegant but still affordable. Where do i go for this because all the web sites I have gone to barely have anything.

I don't know what stores you have in your area; but a craft store will have them. Like 'Michael's" OR "Hobby Lobby"!

Try using regular wedding decorations and accent them with silver,ie: ribbon, silver leaves, silver sparkles. A great time to purchase silver embellishments is after Christmas when all the decorations (Ribbon) goes on sale. Another idea is take white silk roses and dip the tips in Elmer's glue (not to excess) then dip in silver sparkles, this would look great on a garland or in a center piece. Have your parents wedding album there if possible.

That is so nice of you! I'd try looking at craft stores like Jo-Ann Fabrics and Michael's, as well as Target and the Dollar Store. Also, look for Prom supplies because they are normally much cheaper than weddings. Finally, buy the cheap plastic ones and cover them with silver spray paint to make them look like a million bucks.

We made our own star centerpieces for a ball I was running where we cut out 2 12-inch stars out of cardboard and covered them with aluminum foil and made a slit in one of them so we could fit them together so they would stand up-by themselves. The looked like they were really expensive, and if you make them in several sizes it can be a great centerpiece. We also got lots of glitter and Christmas ribbon (on clearance after the holidays) and used that to decorate the plain white table cloths.

Good Luck!

most party warehouse places should have the things you're looking for, a very cute idea for the cake is get a photo from their wedding and have it put on the cake, most places scan it and it is the decoration on the top of the cake. We did that for my in-laws anniversary cake and it was very cute.
