Both Christians and Muslims, being among the dominant religions in the world, are always misjudged and labeled. It isn't fair to say that ALL Muslims are "violent" and that ALL Christians are "hypocrites". Such labels can be true, yet they are not applicable to all its followers. And this applies to any religion. I think it's best if people just respected each others' beliefs. After all, it is your own. It doesn't matter what the others think. Live and let live.

I am afraid every religion comes in for its share of persecution and bigotry, and the last few years it seems to be the turn of Islam, just as it was Judaism in the first half of the 20th century, and 7th day Adventists in the 1980s.
With reference to Yahoo Answers particularly, I should think the situation is not helped by the preponderance of rednecked americans posting in here (why? Isn't this Yahoo UK?)
Personally I am not a Muslim, but whenever I see bashing I report it.

I see no point in taunting people who are already having trouble. Well, there is a point, but it isn't MY point. You have two options when a person becomes violent. You can calm them down or you can kill them. I prefer the more peaceful approach. Most people who have ever actually been in a situation where they had to deal with an upset person knows what the options are.
By my clock, Muslim bashing time is over.

It's action and reaction!
I doubt that people write in to simply 'bash' muslims.
Most people react badly to an 'us-and-them' situation.
I rather doubt that we all imagine every Irish person was a member of the IRA (speaking as an Irishman).
However, the antics of a few (mainly gangsters) IRA people - about 600 at any one time - gave the island of Ireland a dreadful name for over 30 years.
Bad people come from every quarter.
Good people are in the majority.

Haters of any religion/cult/race/...ect use this site to bash. Islam seem to get the lion's share, due to the new style of self-bombers who made the whole world think that all Muslims are as devilish as they.
I thought this site is to seek knowledge, ask a question and get a descent answer. It has become an opinion poll, with curses and bad language too.
What a pity.

well it is Islam-bashing time at ALL times here on YA! there is no time of the day ...... people NEVER ever stop. i did try spending 24hrs at one time to see how much of it and when. it may offend some but that is the thruth.
all i can do is cry and pray to Allah to give some peace to these people. sometimes it really is too hard and disheartening to see the extent to which people can go to insult Muslims.

I really wonder why other religion feel soooo insecure bout their own religion or belief that they need to bash the Muslim on a daily basis.
The Muslim really are the most faithful and patience believer in this whole wide world, with all this attack goin on.

I would like to answer to the question "Are Muslims accepted here at Yahoo?" ... yes! All of us get bashed...thats why i called it whack-a-mole...anybody sticks out their head, gets bonked with a rubber mallet. But, seriously, I wish Muslims would be more vocal about their beliefs. I am interested and want to know.
