One of the best ways to stop saying you have a bad memory. If we start saying to ourselves " I have a good memory" and "I can remember" then this puts ourselves in the right mindset. The power of the mind is unbelievable.

Then you need to start using your memory. Do puzzles and games that require you to use your memory. If you dont use it you lose it!

I can't give you a concise answer, but try any of the "brain train" games available at the moment for the Nintendo DS.

Alternatively, try looking up some books online.

Another thing I would suggest is allowing yourself time to process information. I find when I am organised and allow myself time to repeat an important fact in my head, I remember it better.

Another way would be to engage with what you are trying to learn. Isn't it true how you remember things you are interested in, or how you remember a fact that was quite enlightening to you?

Engaging with information helps it to become relevant to you, and therefore, more memorable.
