They were, therefore Muslims!

Christ was born 2006 years ago (give or take say four years) and Mahomet several hundred years later. It is logically impossible for anyone born before these people to have followed their precepts.
I am aware the the Quran says that some of the patriarchs like Abraham were Muslims but that is plain impossible, and they could not have been Christians either.
Abraham, Noah and Joseph could not have been "followers of Moses" either since they pre-dated him, according to the Old Testament.
There is no evidence that Adam, Eve, Abraham, Noah, Joseph or Moses existed. Their stories are most likely memories of folk heroes written down centuries after the events they are supposed to portray.
This will get me into trouble with the Christian fundamentalists. Oh dear, how sad. Never mind.

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate from the forbidden tree, they both knew that they were naked. What did they do when they discovered their shame? They hid behind the fig tree and started to cover their nakedness using the fig tree leafs. Then they heard the voice of God in midst of the Garden Eden calling for Adam, "Adam, Adam, where are you?" And Adam replied, "I am hiding, lord, behind the fig tree because I am naked." God then said to Adam, "How did you know you were naked? Did you eat from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?" Adam said that the woman you created for me gave me from the fruit and I ate. The conversation then ended exactly like this: Genesis 3:12-17
12 The man said, "The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it."
13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?"
The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this,
"Cursed are you above all the livestock
and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring [a] and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel."
Who was the woman and the offspring of the woman who crushed the serpent head, or the devil head? Was it not Jesus Christ, who was born from the Virgin Mary? That happened at the Cross of Jesus. The devil inflicted death on Jesus but Jesus rose the third day crushing thereby the power of death or Satan and was victorious in accordance with the first prophecy about the coming of Jesus Christ. The price of sin(or wages of sin)is death, and it was fully paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Later God slayed a little lamb which was the first redemption that took place to the world that had only two people live in it: Adam and Eve. The first blood to be ever shed to cover the sins of Adam and Eve. Then the LORD God made garments of skin from the slain lamb for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
The Answer of your question is right in your hand.

Just check the information; when was the Moslem religion started by Mohamed?
When were the Disciples first called "Christians" (hint: at Antioch)?
Adam and Eve, before the first Sin, had daily fellowship with the Creator of the Universe.

Neither. It's a matter of history, you won't find it in the Bible OR the Qu'ran. Both Christianity and Islam came AFTER Adam and Eve.
Adam and Eve were monotheists, or Jews.

Don't be so stupid, How could anyone who lived before Christ be a Christian? As for Islam it is even more recent than Christianity.
You say you look for proof from the Bible and Quran but you have obviously read neither.

You're a fool to think that a passage from either qualifies as proof of anything except the opinion of someone who died many years ago. Technically, if you insist on believeing that story at all, they were simply deists. Jesus hadn't been born yet, and neither had Muhommad.

Christ was with the Father in the beginning. So Christian.
John 1:1-2": In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2: The same was in the beginning with God. "
Hebrews 1:1010": And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: "
1John 1:2": (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) "
1John 2:1": My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father , Jesus Christ the righteous "
Revelation 19:13 "And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. "
1John 5:7: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

No they weren't.
The Bible I know, and the Quran I am guessing, neither speak of them being either.

neither. Christ had not come. Christians did not exist until Christ had died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose three days later and then ascended to heaven.
Christians were first called Christians in Antioch
