First of all....you are having a service provided for you therefore you should tip properly for the quality of that service. Anywhere from 10 to 20 percent is great. Remember if you tip him/her that the next time they watch your pets they will remember that you showed them appreciation.

Depends what their wage is, I would not leave a huge tip, and it depends if this is a permanent arrangement or just a temporary arrangement. If it is just for a week or two then I would give around £5 a week, as they get paid for it anyway.

Is this a paid sitter or a friend helping. If a friend I usually get a gift from my trip.
