I did find a reason to change. It was God. I see the things I was doing that were hurting my family, wasting my time and money. I am not saying anyone else is wrong or right, but I personally am much happier. Just because I "found God" does not mean my life is all roses and candy though. I still have very real struggles, stress and problems, just a much better way to deal with all of that.

Yes I found a reason to change because I believed my life did not make any sense, I was doing stupid things and not appreaciting life, until I got into trouble and decided to chnage my whole life around and I love life, there is nothing like Freedom and being able to do whatever you want. Even if you work 40 hours a week you still have time to enjoy yourlself. When you are in the wrong path you only think the next bad thing youre going to do, until you do so many bad things that you actually get into trouble and then you realize that if you do not change your life around, you might end up somehwere you really dont want to be and thats the day I decided to change my life and start over new

YES. Its called "repentance." It has three elements:
(1) The intellectual element in repentance involves a change of view with regard to sin, God, and self. Sin is recognized as sin;
personal guilt before God is acknowledged; and the self is seen as defiled and helpless.
(2) The emotional element refers to the wrenching emotion of grief, sorrow and shame that a person feels when confronted
with the ugliness of his or her sin.
(3) The volitional element involves the change of will, attitude, disposition, and purpose. It is a desire and a choice to seek forgiveness, make restitution, and seek reconciliation with God and others and henceforth, to walk in God's light.
