Pocket money is also called 'walking around money'. This type of money should be used for simple things like a trip to the movies, candy or books.

I think parents should give their children an allowance - with some money going into savings and some for pocket money - how else will kids learn to save and budget?

a pocket money is a money given by the parents to their children. and yea! they should give their children some money especially if their going out of town or somewhere else where they aren't with their parents. and it is on the child on how to spend it. :D
