It's an illness that can be a handicap. Some epileptics are unable to drive. That's a handicap for someone who wants or needs to work.

Epilepsy is not particularly a handicap, but an Epileptic person can be restrained from doing certain things as they are prone to seizure. For example it is not advisable for an Epileptic person to drive a car as he/she is at the risk of getting a seizure with out any particular time frame. But laws in different countries differ in their opinion on this matter.

I think it is becuase there are certin things that you can not do if you have it becuase they could end in life threatening consiquences. Like go on rollarcoasters (I dont think) and I think lots of flashing lights can cause a seizure.

But I'm not completly sure on this subject. I've just known people who have it.
