My sister's boyfriend doesn not get along with several of my family members and hasnt in years now including me. I dont get along with my sister either and havent needed or wanted to call her for quite sometime. My sisters x hubby moved into my home because hes down on his luck and he visits with his son here on weekends., my sister agreed to this. Now all of a sudden I am hearing her boyfriend is upset with this arangement because he or my sister are not active my life. Should he have a say in this situation when he's not legally the father or even married to my sister? My sister called me and thanked me for letting her x hubby stay here and her son on the weekends. I never thought in a million years her boyfriend would have a problem with his. Is he power tripping?

Blow her boyfriend off, he doesn't have any right to say anything. If he wants to marry your sister, then he has a legitimate say.
He is like you say having a power problem.

People will always have something to say, about any and everything. The only reason this is really bothering you is because of your personal feelings towards him...if he was someone you respected and cared about, then you would definitely consider what he says.

Sometimes we can learn the most from people we don't like...Think about why he might have said what he said, and accept any helpful advice. However, if you are aware that there is nothing wrong with what you are doing, then don't bother yourself with others negative reactions.

Let him trip on whatever he wants to, why bother yourself with focusing on him. Your sister is very appreciative of what you are doing, and that is the most important thing. You are well aware that he has nothing to do with the equation, and that the responsibility doesn't lie with him. Once you see this, nothing he says or does will bother you...remember, he has his own reasons for saying and doing things that he does.
