I was with my ex for nearly 8 years and we have a son, but things grew stale or so I thought, he spent more time working or with his mates and I was left at home "holding the baby". Since then however he has remained single but I met someone else, married them and had a child to my new husband, but now I have regrets of getting married and I'm now getting divorced.
I have asked my ex back but he isn't interested (not surprising) So why do I want him so bad.

because you are at loose ends and wondering what to do, and he was such a nice doormat for you in the past. Good for him for not taking you back. And good for you for seeing that you were a jerk to him. Maybe you can both move on.

It could just be a case of wanting what you cant have or the fact that you have now been in a relationship with another man has possibly made you realise that the first 1 wasnt so bad after all!!The fact that your x has stayed single all this time means there is still abit of hope.Maybe he is worried if he gave you another chance you might get fed up again!!Give ya self a bit of time to sort your divorce out and see how you feel then x

It's a common human nature to have feelings for love lost. I'm pretty sure you'll feel better if today your ex have you a bonus night.
Perhaps back then 2 of you started on the wrong foot and broke up with the wrong reason as well. Too young and immature? And that now, you had a comparism and definitely you will find that one is better than the other.
My advice is, there is a reason why people called them "ex". Meaning, they are history and you should move on. When you find someone better than him and starts comparing again,then you would find your ex lousier and you'd be better off doing that comparing thingy single and available.

I would never go back, esp as you went and married someone else and had a kid with them!

r u getting divorced because u still long for ur ex? anyway, maybe it's the state u r in rite now that makes u wanna be with him again, since u shared a special bond n feeling with him before... try to loosen up a little, be composed and date others.....

Because it's comfortable to go back to something/someone that your already know than to trudge forward and cut your losses and find another. Maybe you just don't want to be alone.
