A lttle dilema , I will be coming into a large amount of cash soon and want to buy a new vehicle. I like the Discovery 3 because it's big but not too big and is 4x4 I also spent most of my time in the country and on a farm. However my town show off side is saying get a porsche and have fun. What should I do ? Should I buy both ?or is that a real waste of money?

I made this very decision some time back, the porsche would have been fun but as I already had a very fast old mini I decided the disco would make more sense, I have never regretted that decision, it has been great for all sorts of activities and even earnt me money as I needed a 4x4 off road vehicle for a couple of construction jobs I was on.
Anyway, Porches are so common these days, they don't have the appeal they used to, bit like Beemas I suppose.

If you really havenothing or nobody else that you should spend all that money on, (sorted your pension and all that stuf) It would be a shame to be abusing the Porsche on the farm!! It is of course a real waste of money. But you can always sell one of them after a while.
If I had so much money I could have both afford the insurance and fuel I would just have to have both because what else would you do with your time!
I would love to have such a dilema.

Buy a cheap second hand 4*4 for the country work. The old defender is a true workhorse. The Porsche Cayenne is a beautiful car to drive but it isn't a true off-roader ( my lawyer adds "in my opinion") Buy your dream car for the city, mines a Bentley. Strange the accountant in me recommends an Avensis.

Porsche or D3.....both are great machines. You can choose either one or you can buy both. But first you should know your purpose to buy the machine.Think very carefully which of the two is more convenient and comfortable for you to drive. You are not only talking about spending big money but safety precaution should be put into consideration too.Remember! there's one thing that money can't buy..........LIFE.So think safe!!!!!!!!!!!!
