Have you had a complete blood work up? I hope you explained how fatigued you are and if you have not told doctor, please do. Make sure you get enough sleep and stay away from caffiene, it just makes it worse when it wears off. Also, have a little honey, pure honey, a teaspoon or so with some herbal tea or by iself, it is pure carbohydrate, therefore, instant energy. I would question those pills you are taking or get a second opinion. That could be doing it too. Usually when on a diet, you end up with with energy. I know that it does take allot of energy to haul extra weight around and it is important that you put yourself on a regular excercise program to raise your metabolism. But first check with the doctor. I don't want to scare you but a friend of my husband went to the doctor stating that he felt like a battery being drained and after the tests were completed, his arteries in or around the heart were blocked and he was dangerously close to a fatal heart attack, yes, he was young and thin. So please have yourself checked and maybe see another doctor for a second opinoin. Also, good luck on the diet and congradulations for giving the effort into it. I know it is not easy but stick with it and you will succeed. Yes, those kids will take allot out of you too, maybe get a home excercise equipment so you won't have to leave the house, but if you can, have a good trainer at a Gym. I can say from expierence that building more muscle, you definetly have more energy because your metabolism is increased by more muscle. Congradulations on losing weight! You go Girl!!!!

I use Valerian Root, which is an Herbal Supplement. It gives me plenty energy during the day and peaceful sleep at night. On the bottle it says for sleepless nights, however what it does is relaxes you. I take one sometimes in the day and two at night. I find myself sometimes at work until about 7pm in the evening because I have so much energy. Also, another thing I use is the energy drink Monster (a black can with a green "M" on it, or the blue "M"). The green is full of calories and carbs, but the blue is very few carbs, and low on calories, if any, and it taste GREAT! I call these two items my all time Valium and it is legal!! Hope this helps and don't knock it before you try it.

Ensure you eat slow burning carbs for breakfast, not fast burn. Go for wholemeal grains or bread, reduce sugar, for instance sweet fruits or juices. Include some protein and little fat. Likewise for lunch, and include some leafy vegetable as well as regular veg. When you get a dip in the mid morning or mid afternoon, have some fruit, which is both good for you and will up your energy levels for long enough to keep you going till the next major meal. For me that's bananas, apple and pears. Yum. I love bananas... obsessed with them.

EDIT:

Oh yeah, exercise is the other thing. It improves your metabolism, mental health and general physical health. If you are only dieting, your body is essentially going into hibernation. It has recognised that food is a bit thin on the ground at the moment and is compensating by slowing you down. The last thing a human body wants to do is give up its hard earned fat reserves, it was saving those for a rainy day.

Look into a new energy drink called Advanced Cell Therapy. It is claimed to be the first healthy energy drink. It gives me a steady supply of feel good, alert, clarity type of feeling. It only costs $1 a drink and for me, it lasts all day long. You can check it out at http://www.drinkact.com/pktull

If I can be of further assistance, let me know.

Want instant energy? STOP all those fizzy drinks NOW.

And walk for 5 minutes a day ... or maybe walk the kids to school in the morning or take them to a park..
