Weight Watchers is a good program to help you lose weight. They preach moderation and their diet makes sense to me. It also is easy to maintain.
Walking two miles a day will result in about a 150 - 225 calorie reduction.
Keep in mind that 3500 equals one pound. So if you ate just enough food to maintain your current weight, you'd lose 1 pound every 17 days or so.
Depending upon what you weigh now, how well you follow the weight watchers plan will dictate how soon you see results.
To see results faster, consider boosting your fitness regime.
It sounds like you are doing the right thing. Be patient. A number of folks here at work have done the weight watcher plan and they have lost quite a bit of weight. It didn't happen over night though.
Good luck.

Eat 4-5 small meals a day, eat like a king for breakfast, like a prince for lunch and for supper something small will do before 19:00 cos there's a chance that the food you eat at night can be stored as fat thats why you have to eat high carb food(rice, potatoes etc...) earlier in the day...
eat a lot of protein eat only when you are hungry, exercise more cos walking is gonna slow results, try weight lifting and burn fat(try burning more calories than you eat) so use fat free dairy products.
Good luck

walking is a great start, just make sure you keep the walk at a brisk pace.
just for thought, if you feel compelled, there are other activities you can use to add to walking, or even use as a substitute workout (if one day you ever just don't want to go for a walk). a few of these activities include resistance training (lifting weights..nothing bulky, just toning muscles), swimming, and cycling.
as far as when to see results, it really depends on your walking pace and consistency. i would wait at least 3-4 weeks before i would expect to see any significant difference.
but during those weeks, maybe even try to increase your walking distance from 2 to 3 miles. you'll get used to the mileage faster than you think, ..so to make your body work as hard as it used to, you'll have to add to the walk:)
good luck

well i started to walk about 8 weeks ago and i can see results now. but i walked 3-4 times a week. and i went swimming 1 day a week.
you have to mix activitys up.
i would recommend swimming.
also everyones different, some see results fast and other take longer.

Don't think in the time, but concentrate your mind on the benefit you will get, and this will make the duration too short to get the result
