how can i use a yahoo widget??

I want to use a yahoo widget and i even downloaded one but i cannot open or use it.whenever i click on the icon a message comes saying that windows cannot open this file.Do i need any software.please tell me the steps.

You first need to download and install the widget engine first. go to http://widgets.yahoo.com/ and download and install.

Then run your widget again. It should work.

Make sure that you meet the hardware requirements though. Think it only works on Win XP or 2000.
