Focus on small mental slips. For example misspellings, miscalculations and not finishing problems. I have the same problem if you understand the material real well then you get the answers and finish quickly. If you finish quickly, do not turn the test in. Review all your answers and look at the detail. Did you miss any specific points, did you have a small mathematical miscalculation? then turn in the test after you checked at least 2 times

This is one of those nebulous issues to which there is no clear answer. It depends upon the type of test you are taking, and how that test is marked. Some tests are extremely subjective. You have a question and a choice of four answers. One of those answers is correct and the other three are wrong. There is no doubt about the answer, and on that type of test you can score 100% if you know the subject well. A spelling test is a good example of this. It's not hard to get 95% or 98% or 100% on a spelling test. It's simply a matter of memorization. Chemical elements are another type of test that you can do very well on, simply by memorizing the symbols of the various elements. But being able to show the inter-relationships of those elements in a chemical reaction, and remembering to add the 'extras' such as heat produced by the reaction, is a little more difficult.
The other type of test is objective -- this is usually the essay type of question, where you are asked to explain or expound on a topic. In many cases, examiners will have a basic point system -- there are certain things that must be included -- and additional points are awarded for information provided over and above that basic information. And quite often, there is another component, and that is how well the essay is written. Very few markers will give the highest attainable marks for this type of question, because they can usually find some area where the response could have been a little better.

i'd start from the beginning with the revision. have you heard that thing about revising today, recapping on it tomorrow, next week, next month, and in six months time & then a year later?
that'll guarantee you a robust recollection of pretty much everything you need to know.

cramming during the last week before your exam also helps tremendously, a big no-no is revising at night because your brain needs that time to consolidate what you've already taken in. you create more work for yourself & are less productive if you don't sleep when you're supposed to

Well, your scores are nothing to sneeze at, but every point counts. Check your answers, take your time, and make sure that your handwriting is legible. Make sure that your signs/punctuations are in order and that you have followed all directions to the letter. If a question is confusing, ask the teacher what is meant by it. He or she will usually clarify it. But don't wig out if you still in up in the mid 90% range, man. That's a score to be envied.

Thank Jesus for giving you the ability to get the 95%.
Ask Him if it is His will that you get the last 5%.

If it is, give the praise and credit for the entire 100% to Him.

If you are getting grades in the 90 percentile, why are you so concerned? No one is perfect. Perfection is unrealistic for us imperfect humans. You may get a perfect score in a few tests, but you will bothch up on others.Even studenys who graduate with a perfect 4.0 average, this is by no means that they got everything right throughout their academic career.
