Agree with Ericka. However, if she seems to be inexperienced with intimacy of any kind (shy about it, fumbles a bit) that could be a clue that she has never done that.

Do you mean Physically, Mentally or Emotionally?
If you can and intend to indulge in premarital sex, then I don't think that you have the right to ask this question.
If you do not, then I feel it is time you went to a Doctor or Marriage Counsellor to find out what their thoughts on the subject are.

Medical point of view when the "hymen" membrane is not broken the girl is called "VIRGIN", in other words when the "hymen" membrane of a girl is broken then it is said that the girl is not "VIRGIN".It may be possible to detect this by various medical tests.
But in society the meaning of "virgin" in my opinion is different. In society a girl is called virgin only if she has not involved herself in any kind of sexual intercourse with opposite sex, in other words activity of "penetration of ones vagina by others penis".
The second symptom is not possible to detect without the confession of the girl herself.
If any method is known to you / anyone may enlighten me by sending mail to my mail address in my profile.

Hymen is extremely comfortable and if the female in question is an extremely energetic sort of individual who participates in activities then its in all probability broken. driving a horse or motorbike will definately reason it to break, according to probability not totally. If she makes use of tampons then that could have broken it too.

You really can't know for sure. Bleeding can happen after the hymen breaks or during regular intercourse to if friction is high. Besides many young girls break or tear their hymens prior to intercourse during normal activites such as sports.

In response to a previous poster, some women do bleed after their first time, but some don't.

Easy. You ask her. And then you trust her. How do you know if a guy is a virgin?

You can choose:
1. ask her. maybe she'll tell the true;
2. take her to a gynecologist;
3. check her hymen.

You can only know it after you have sex. She will bleed. Not Extensively but a couple of drops.
