I have wondered about that. My ex-husband has dissociative identity disorder, and only some of his personalities are religious. Others are filled with hate - much like some of the participants on R&S.

I heard a couple of weeks ago, that some people that have multiple personalities, could have had a twin, that did not develope when their mother was pregnant, but the brain cells or some other part of the child that didn`t survive was inside the living child, this cold explain the multiple personalities, and I believe if thats the case, then there might be more then one soul,or spirit, so maybe you have something there, But don`t take my word for it, because if your housing the spirit or soul, most likely you have control of it, to make it come under subjaction, of the word and works of God.

I hope you did not waste a lot of intellectual energy on this question.

But anyway, in answer, under Islamic law an insane person is not responsible for their own behavior. It would be the responsibility of those around him or her to get help for the unfortunate soul. That is the most pressing need, not the question of going to heaven or hell which is between that person and God.

And Allah knows best.

Peace and Blessings,

Salim

what is this with going to hell? Mary Magdalene had 7 different spirits. yet Christ set her free, so by believing in Christ, the Lord will set the person free from their sins.

This kind of person could be sick needs therapy to be one person accountable for his/her own deeds. Going to heaven or hell is somehting that Allah decides not me or you or anyone.

No, only her evil personality goes to hell to roast forever and her good personalty goes to heaven, where she can orgy with angels without committing adultery (since Jesus clearly said angels don’t marry).

I’m delighted you put your name back, EA ;)
