This is the most common hair type in teenagers. It comes from the over production of oil from the sebaceous glands beneath the skin.
Greasy hair can look lank, oily and lifeless if left to its own devices. But don't stress if your hair's greasy when you're young. You may well find it becomes less so in your twenties when your hormones sort themselves out!
Contrary to popular belief, greasy hair's not caused by eating too many burgers and chips, but there's no harm anyway in laying off the grease and eating more fruit and veg.
On the plus side, greasy hair is in fact healthy hair, since all that oil protects each strand from dryness and split ends.
Greasy hair needs to be kept clean by frequent washing with a mild shampoo. If you use a conditioner buy one that is oil free. Some of those designed for greasy hair will also help slow down oil production.
If you use a hair dryer when styling your hair don't let it get too hot. Heat will stimulate more oil production.
All the best!!

I got this tip from my stylist...Use shampoo on the scalp and give it a good scrubbing. You don't need to put it on the rest of your hair but once a week or so. Then use conditioner only on the ends of your hair. This worked for me. My stylist said that it works because shampoo is mainly for cleaning yoru scalp and the conditioner is to protect the ends, so there is no need to put it where it isn't needed. Also, try changing the brands of shampoo/conditioner. Sometimes the brand isn't the best for your type of hair. There is also a dry shampoo out there, kinda like baby powder. You can sprinkle on your roots and rub it into the scalp and this should help absorb some of the oil. Go easy on styling products!

Try using a cheap daily cleansing shampoo, like Suave. Get some detangler (like mothers use for babies) instead of conditioner and use it sparingly. If you can, don't use a blowdryer unless it's on 'cool'. Don't brush or comb your hair too much either, it spreads the oil over your hair and scalp. If you absolutely need conditioner (most ppl don't IMO) then use it only on the ends and again, sparingly. :)
OH! Let your hair dry mostly in the towel before trying the blow dryer! It adds body to my hair to have it mostly dry first.

Try mixing some baking soda in with your shampoo. Also, use the conditioner! The scalp is trying to overcompensate for the lack of conditioner, possibly, and that is why your hair is looking greasy.

You have natural oily hair. You can try to "rinse" your hair with lemon juice or vinigar. Sprinkle some baby powder on your hair and rub it in.
Try washing your hair daily with a mild shampoo that doesn't contain conditioners - usually labelled 'for oily hair' or 'clarifying' - these products will leave the least amount of residue on your hair. Afterwards, use a very light cream rinse or conditioner on just the ends of your hair (if necessary), and be sure to rinse it out thoroughly. Avoid all products containing silicone, oils or lanolin, as well as two-in-one products - these can be too heavy and oily for fine hair. During the day, comb your hair a few times to help redistribute oils and reduce thin hair's stringy appearance. Or, for a more serious case of oily locks, spritz a little water on your hair and blow-dry it using a comb to remove and redistribute oils - the heat of the dryer will make the oils easier to manipulate
The most important thing you can do to prevent or resolve oily hair is to shampoo your hair daily. For people who tend to have a problem with oily hair, leaving the shampoo on your head for at least 5 minutes before rinsing may help.
Avoid brushing your hair too often or too vigorously, since the brushing will carry oil from your scalp to the ends of your hair.
Hormones affect oil production and therefore things that affect your hormone levels (such as stress or birth control pills) may also affect the oiliness of your hair.

try that out dear.
Ingredients:
conditioner and honey
How to prepare:
Mix 50/50 conditioner and honey (each 1 tbsp).
How to use:
Put the mixture in wet hair after washing your hair. Leave in for 45 minutes. Rinse. Although you would expect different, the honey rinses very easily.
Results
Soft shiny hair. Not greasy at all.

See if brushing baking soda through your hair will work instead of washing every single day. I do this to my dog and it works to freshen his fur.
