There are a couple of places to seek out when applying for a college grant. Each place does not cost money to the person applying for the grant or scholarship.

First, there is the FAFSA.ed.gov website. It will help you tap need based financial assistance from the federal government and the college itself.

Second, apply with the state for grants. It is located at http://www.hesc.com/.

Third, your high school guidance office if a high school student or college financial aid office. Both has a list of private scholarships available.

Finally, there are free membership scholarship search websites. Most are updated on a regular basis.

Good luck!
