This is a follow up question to ..... At what age do guys start to listen?
Its not our fault, its yours. Now who agrees. 10 points to whoever is rated higher for fairness or for majority rule (i'm not sure)

I'd like to add that i don't have a problem with my wife girlfriend. She knows i don't listen for more than 20 seconds during sports and repetition is key if its important. Yeah its annoying when she asks how something went and i say "you never told me about that" and she says "yeah i did" and you know it was after something really boring and unimportant.

If a person jabbers on about nothing, then perhaps this person isn't interesting to you. You paint with a "broad brush" when you lump all women together in one category as "jabbing", when that is just a ridiculous stereotype. Maybe you just don't like women who talk a lot. Maybe you'd listen more to a person who doesn't have a compulsion to "hear" herself talk..

Have you ever stopped to think that maybe when a girl talks and talks about seemingly insignificant things it's because she just needs someone to talk to. The second thing is that did it ever occur to you that a female and males interest may be quite different (so what you find boring she finds interesting). Lastly, has it ever occurred to you that maybe it isn't about nothing that she is talking about, and that maybe there is something hidden in her words and that you need to be clever to find it out and listen carefully. You know, there is so much in this world that is ugly and hurtful, why worry about this and just listen to the girl and what she has to say. There are some guys out there (fortunately, its no longer me) that would love to have a girl talk to them about nothing, since they don't have a girl in their lives at all.

I talk alot of rubbish and expect my boyfriend to listen...It's just one of those women things y'know, like most men talk about football alot (sorry for the stereotype) and most women don't like football...so to a woman who doesn't like football you might aswell not speak at all. Your gf or wife (assuming this is referring to them) might be telling you something important to her but you think it is no big deal! Hence the women from Mars and men are from venus, two different genders with different interests...the balance is finding a common interest between the both of you! hope that helps

Yup ,sometimes women can be boring ,but I think that it is no fault at all! We all need someone who will listen us and love us!

Who knows, but it's true.
Women like to talk about (neighbors, people they work with, people, soap operas, work, etc.) and can stay on the phone for hours with other women talking about this stuff. I guess they think guys are like this also, but after a while you'd think they would realize this stuff isn't important to us.
