I pledge allegiance
To the flag
Of the United States of America
And to the republic
For which it stands
One nation,indivisible
With liberty and justice for all

It just sounds so much better in its original form without the daily Christian indoctrination wording, doesn't it? I just thought I would post it for all those who didn't get to see it in its original form, perhaps I should pledge allegiance to my flag every day,in the proper way. I always found it interesting that someone would add wording to our pledge that makes it unconstitutional, that seems kind of strange don't you think.

Ironic considering when the words "one nation" next to "under god" next to "indivisible."

Ignorant Zil doesn't realize it was added in the 50's. An almost 75 year old tradition was spat upon to place god in it.

All other considerations aside, adding "under god" really did kind of ruin the flow of it, didn't it? I always thought it was kind of odd, when I was a kid. There's kind of an awkward pause. It made sense when I learned that it had been tacked on later.

It still does seem a bit strange to pledge allegiance to a piece of cloth, though, rather than to your country or leaders. If the flag ever actually asked me to do something... I think I would have to question my perceptions.

The world gets worse every day because people try to remove God from everything.

Flags, political borders, and nationalism, all such things are a sign of primitivism. Actually it’s manipulation and brainwashing not unlike the religious sort.
