So those neuroscientists are atheist? Yes shocking a brain is going to do something....

Still that does not explain a "Ghost/Evil Spirit".

A lot of them would tell you they don't exist. Others might believe in them, but ask you to explain what ghosts have to do with a god, since there really isn't any direct connection.

Atheists are individuals. Hard to stereo type a cross section of people since they have all kinds of opinions. I think any individual benefits by keeping his mind on objective reality. I hear real dunderheads urging people to discard their rational minds in order to enter the arcane world. They claim rational thinking is a hindrance. That is pure foolishness. The rational mind is the referee when we encounter the "weird". You throw the referee out then you won't know what is up and down in the world of spirits. Many a person has entered that world and encountered living nightmares that required urgent help from others to overcome the trauma. Keeping your mind in objective reality is the way to stay sane. However, objective reality is what IS, whether it is in the physical world or the spiritual world. Truth, that-which-IS, or objective reality, whatever you want to call it, is something our reason and understanding can process. In other words, that-which-IS makes sense. Critical thinking is necessary and absolutely necessary to discriminate and discern in this new age of the weird.

i am not an atheist nor christian but i have studied ghosts and spirit
ghosts are very easy to explain
they are what is called residual energy
that is simply energy left over from what once was
like a video recorder playing
ghosts are not consious and can be often seen replaying actions
the energy will eventully fade as it is taken over by another energy in that same place

spirit on the other hand i have had personal experience of as a medium
now i have to ask you what constitutes a bad spirit ?
is it things moving , things making noise , people acting in strange way ? ,.... all of these things can be explained away without relating to spirit at all
and personally i have never had experience of a bad spirit

How would a non-atheist explain it?

Here's an interesting article for you:

EDIT: since you updated your question I will update my answer: Does not explain what? First prove ghosts and evil spirits exist and then ask your question again. Ghost and spirits do not exist, neither does your god(s), explain that?
