I have just bought a N reg Fiesta, in it was a Kenwood stereo and a Kenwood 6 CD system in the boot that links to the stereo in the dashboard. The stereo has broken but the CD system in the boot is ok.

The original eon 5000 stereo was removed leaving a huge space for a new stereo to fill. If I was to purchase a eon 5000 tape system that had CD compatibility would it be compatible with the CD unit. I've taken a look at the lead that goes into the existing Kenwood stereo and it seems to have about 15 pins on a round connector.

If not, does anyone know what kind of cable I'd need to covert it to the Ford connection?

As the person said, pop into halfords, they have loads of different adapter wiring plugs etc, take your head unit in with you and tell them your make model and year of your car.

Before you go there, just check and note down the type of plug you have in your car, this will save you a trip back.
