several times and I find some thing new each time

Was the bible designed to be read like a paperback, or a fictional title, it is better read over your lifetime, because the verses become appropriate when the same thing is happening in your life.
In my youth the bible seemed too complicated, mainly because I had not experienced all the scriptures, now when I am older it all makes sense, and the relationship between those events and my life are recognisable, so it brings enlightenment for me to know someone else suffered through this and made it through.

I started at the end, went to the beginning and looked at the middle, if you know how it ends, you always want to know how to avoid bad finish and make a happy ending, so you begin new, and start at the beginning, jump to the middle for advise, "proverbs".

Then when things get deep, you can stick your head in and read the pertanent verses, they generally get pointed out along the way.

Hope that wasn't long winded.

Hope that helps

just remember, when u read something, u need to understand what u're reading. that's why it will take a few years.

The Bible has a lot of interesting stories, but that shouldn't be the only reason why u read it. I'm trying to read the whole book, but i still get stuck at some pages.

Gaan lees Efesiërs 5, dit is 'n stukkie waaruit ons almal iets kan leer!!!

Happy reading, God Bless u*

Yes.

As an athiest, and strident critic of Christianity, I felt I kind of had to read it in order to be intellectually honest.

It was all right. Some interesting portions, some dreadfully boring. Way better than the Book of Mormon, I'll tell you that!

no that would be too hard and take far too long to do, there are almost 2,000 pages in the bible.
